Renovation of a mixed-use development in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and medical facility.
A. This contractor shall furnish all the labor and material necessary to install a complete electrical system for the building. The system shall include all items of work as outlined in these specifications and on the drawings. B. All work shall be performed by a well-qualified, licensed electrician with a thorough knowledge of the various systems involved in this building. It shall be this contractor's responsibility to see that their employees are familiar with all the various codes and tests applicable to this work. C. All equipment shall be new and of the type specified by the engineer unless otherwise noted in these specifications or on the drawings to remain and or be reused. D. The intent of the specifications and drawings is for complete installation of the systems outlined in the specifications and drawings so that at the conclusion of construction the system will be turned over to the owner complete and ready for safe and efficient operation. The specifications and drawings cannot deal individually with the many minute items that may be eventually required by the nature of the systems. Targeted Small Business (TSB): The certified Iowa TSB participation goal for this project is 10 percent (10%) of the Base Bid. This establishes the amount that should be reported on the Final Payment Reporting Form as part of the TSB Program This project renovates finishes in 12 stairwells at UIHC: Per the stair study stair #s are as follows:12,13,21,23,28,30,33,36,40,44,51,and 53.
