The City of Miramar Public Works Department is inviting qualified Asphalt Contractors to submit quotes to modify two (2) speed humps on asphalt roads within the City of Miramar. Each hump spans across 2 lanes of traffic which is 22ft wide. Quote shall include labor, materials, equipment, supervision, insurance, maintenance of traffic, and all incidentals to perform the Work completely. The humps to be modified are at 9351 and 9451 Dunhill Drive The Successful Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to modify two (2) existing traffic calming speed humps. Work will include saw cutting of both ends of the speed humps, milling 1 inch of asphalt and reinstalling 1 inch of asphalt at the sawcut and transition to 1.5 inches at the break point to the flat top of the hump. Break points shall be sharp, and the top of the humps shall be flat. One foot (1') solid white thermoplastic arrows must be used to mark the speed humps, and three (3) reflective pavement markers (rpm) on each side facing traffic. All work must be done in strict compliance with the drawings and specifications illustrated below. Twelve 12 standard delineators to be placed, three (3) per side of each speed hump. The delineators must be performance level flexible, white colored with reflective sheeting, and stand at thirty-six inches (36"). They must be bolted and caulked per manufactures specifications. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids/proposals, to waive any informality in a bid/proposal and/or in the bidding/selection process, and to make awards, if awarded, to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder/offeror as deemed in the best interest of the City. The work shall commence ONLY after the contractor has been notified by the Public Works Department but within five (5) business days after receipt of purchase order. The work shall be completed within thirty (30) days from the date of commencement
