Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Miramar, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The City is seeking to select a firm to provide all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and incidentals, as necessary for the removal of all protruding roots and trip hazards that are on existing asphalt walkway at the City Hall Town Center (2300 Civic Center Place, Miramar Florida, 33025) SCOPE OF WORK: The City of Miramar is seeking bids from qualified bidders to complete the work which includes but is not limited to 1. All labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and incidentals, as necessary for the removal of all protruding roots and trip hazards that are on existing asphalt walkway 2. Patch all depressed areas. 3. Install 1 inch of asphalt on existing walkway which is 3,783 linear feet with an average width of 8 ft. Work shall be flat and even with no depressions. 4. Add transitions between the existing walkway and other surfaces (sidewalk or other asphalt walkways) contractor shall ensure that the joints flush and eliminate any trip hazard. 5. All work shall meet the grade and cross slope in accordance with ADA. Refer the City of Miramar Engineering Standards for Public Works & Utilities Systems for details on sidewalk. A cross slope of 2% shall be maintained for proper drainage The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids/proposals, to waive any informality in a bid/proposal and/or in the bidding/selection process, and to make awards, if awarded, to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder/offeror as deemed in the best interest of the City. All questions must be submitted in writing to the City's Procurement Department, 2200 Civic Center Place, Miramar, Florida 33025, by email to: jdchong@miramarfl.gov, no later than December 27th, 2022, at 6:00 P.M. Absolutely no questions will be answered if submitted after the question submittal deadline. When applicable, bids shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond, in the amount of five percent of the Total Bid Price, payable to the City of Miramar, Florida, as a guarantee that the Bidder, upon acceptance, will promptly execute the Agreement and complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents and the Total Bid Price stated in its Bid submittal. Bids shall not be considered unless one of the previously stated forms of Bidder's security is enclosed with the Bid. The commencement date shall be established in the Notice to Proceed. Contractor shall commence the Work within 10 Days from the commencement date. The Work shall be Substantially Complete within 90 Calendar Days after the commencement date given in the Notice to Proceed. The Work shall be Finally Completed for full acceptance by the City within 120 Calendar Days after the commencement date given in the Notice to Proceed. Ten weather Days or rain Days are included within the overall Contract time of 120 calendar Days. Contractor's Project schedule shall provide for 10 inclement weather delay Days during the interval from the Notice to Proceed until Substantial Completion
