Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a civil project in Chetek, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for the construction of a water / sewer project.

The project entails the furnishing of all labor and material for the construction of a wastewater treatment facility. Major components of the Work include: main lift station, mile force main, headworks/control building with grit removal, preselected Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR), aerobic digester, UV/filter building, preselected Continuous Backwash Sand Filter (CBSF), chemical storage building, grit drying bed, site work, lab equipment, electrical/SCADA, HVAC, process piping and demolition of existing wastewater treatment plant. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Chetek reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three (3) lowest bidders for a period not to exceed 30 days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 Days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. Bidders Proof of Responsibility must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders will be required to provide performance and payment bonds of 100 percent of bid amount. This Contract is expected to be funded in part with funds provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Utilities Service (RUS). Information on applicable federal requirements is contained in the Project Manual. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term iron and steel products means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The following waivers apply to this Contract: De Minimis, Minor Components, Pig iron and direct reduced iron, and project specific waivers: TBD.
