Use of American Iron and Steel: The Contract requires the use of American Iron and Steel products. Iron and steel products means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. As of July 31, 2023, subcontractor bids are due to the Apparent Low Bidder as soon as possible. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner encourages MBEs, WBEs, and SBRAs to submit Bid proposals. The City of Chetek reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City.
