As of March 21, 2023, the project has not been awarded as it is going to be rebid. An exact rebid date has not been established; however, the project is not expected to be rebid prior to May 2023. The Architect will not receive bidders' questions after 4 p.m. on January 13, 2023, unless the bid opening date is changed by addendum. The project consists of: Remove and replace shop exhaust ventilation systems, Remove and replace overhead exhaust in old Auto Shop, Jib crane in diesel shop area, Prefabricated Mezzanine construction, Geothermal HVAC in offices/classrooms, Radiant heat tubes to replace shop heaters, Paint shop floor & walls, New air compressor/dryer to serve all Votec, Replace air lines throughout Votec, Replace overhead doors (3), Replace shop lights with LED fixtures, Add large, air circulating fans to shop. A Bid Bond and Performance and Payment Bond will be required. Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder. The successful bidder must agree to conform to the current rules and regulations of the Fair Employment Practices Commission. Attention is called to the provisions of Equal Employment Opportunity. This project will be partially funded with federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce - Economic Development Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. Bidders are notified that not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor and Davis Bacon Wage Rate Act shall be paid to all workmen performing work under this contract. This Project to which the construction work covered by this Contract pertains is being issued by the United States of America through federal assistance provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce - Economic Development Administration (EDA). EDA Contracting Provisions are included in this Contract and all subcontracts or related instruments pursuant to the provisions applicable to such federal assistance from EDA.
