The scope of the project includes making drainage improvements, road surface preparation and roadway construction with base material and #2A coarse aggregate.This project involves the maintenance of 25,798-feet (4.89-miles) long section of Wills Mountain Road on State Game Lands (SGL) #48. The project includes grading, pipe installation, road base construction, stone surfacing and related work.The work area is on an existing PGC road. The work area can be accessed directly from US Route 220. The north end of project (Sta 0+00) is at the intersection with US Route 220. There are two gates on Wills Mountain Road. Keep the gates closed and locked during nonwork hours to prevent unauthorized vehicle access. The bridge on Wills Mountain Road near the intersection with US Route 220 has a 45-ton weight limit. The project area is not open to public travel because it is behind a locked gate. We recommend contacting Mr. Zuck or Mr. Elbin to make arrangements for unlocking the gate and for directions and status of road conditions before going to the site. The Commonwealth reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technical defects in bids and to accept or reject any part of the bid deemed in the best interests of the Commonwealth. Except as otherwise provided by law, award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, and all bidders will be advised of the bid results. A Purchase Order will be generated at the time of award without further input from the successful bidder. Awarded vendor will be sent a copy of this document and no work will be authorized until the vendor is in receipt of the Purchase Order.
