A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work includes all labor, material (with the exception of District provided material as specified herein), supervision and equipment necessary to complete the following: Installation of approximately 1,400 LF of 8-inch ductile iron pipe, fittings, valves, customer service lines, backfill, pavement restoration, and associated work. Each bidder must have proper licenses and registrations to complete this work in accordance with the California Business and Professions Code and the California Labor Code. The Contractor's attention is directed to the following material that will be supplied by the District and installed by the Contractor: Ductile Iron Pipe 8 mil Polyethylene Encasement "Wrap", PCV Tape, and Detectable Warning Tape Ductile Iron Fittings Mechanical Joint Restraint Systems Bolts, Nuts and Gaskets Fire Hydrant Assemblies Customer Service Materials Including Saddles, Copper Tubing, Fittings, and Valves Gate Valve Assemblies Including Valves, Risers, Boxes and Caps Bidders are hereby notified that, as a County Water District organized and existing under and by virtue of Water Code 30000 - 33901, District is not subject to the specific requirements of the Public Contract Code as related to competitive bidding, but has voluntarily adopted policies and/or procedures to encourage and/or utilize competitive bidding principles to: (a) provide qualified bidders with a fair opportunity to enter the bidding process, thereby stimulating competition in a manner conducive to sound fiscal practices and; (b) to eliminate favoritism, fraud and corruption in the awarding of public contracts.
