Renovation of an educational facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The University of Nebraska is requesting proposals from qualified bidders to provide all material and labor for decommissioning of the building's existing chilled water system and connection to the campus distribution system. Decommissioning will require the removal of two chillers, two chilled water pumps, and interconnecting piping located in the basement mechanical room. Two condensing units located on the roof of the building along with the associated refrigerant piping will require removal. Refrigerant will be recovered by the University. Wiring and conduits serving the existing chillers, pumps and condensing units shall be removed and determined at the source panels. Connection to the campus distribution system will require buried piping to be installed outside the building and new piping to be installed within the basement mechanical room.
