The City of Hamilton invites Proponents to submit Proposals for the Condition Assessment and Inspection of Pre-Stressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP) and metallic Watermains. Work under this Contract is for inspection and evaluation of watermains ranging in size from 400 mm to 2250 millimetres (mm) in diameter, at various locations within the City of Hamilton for up to a five-year term. The Work shall include furnishing all project management, inspection, supervision, engineering support, labor, tools, equipment, field supplies, office supplies, and safety equipment, etc. necessary for the performance and completion of this Contract. The inspection and evaluation shall primarily include condition assessment using electromagnetic and leak detection technologies for the assessment of PCCP and metallic watermains, through the determination of distress indicators including broken pre-stressing wires and watermain leaks. In addition to electromagnetic inspections, visual inspections, data analysis of the inspection results and engineering review (if requested) will be required.
