The California Department of Conservation requires the services of a business with the resources, experience, and abilities to remediate physical safety hazards associated with abandoned mine features. The Department intends to award one service contract for this Invitation for Bid. 1. The work consists of the fabrication and installation, as specified, directed, and approved by the National Park Service (NPS), of eight abandoned mine remediations at two mine sites. 2. These features are located on NPS lands in Death Valley National Park (DEVA) in Inyo County. Potential bidders may submit questions regarding intent, expectations, or other topics pertaining to the actual bid solicitation by contacting Samantha Brooks via email at: ServiceContracts@conservation.ca.gov. Questions must be received by Friday, February 24, 2023 at 5:00 PM. All questions received by the Department will be answered by Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 3:00 PM. Pursuant to direction from the U.S. Department of the Interior National Park Service (NPS) as federal landowner, and pursuant to Cooperative Agreement # P19AC01078 (dated September 4, 2019) and Task Agreement #P19AC01186 (dated September 19, 2019) between NPS and the California Department of Conservation (Department or DOC), the Department requires abandoned mine remediation services on NPS lands in Death Valley National Park (DEVA) in Inyo County.
