Technical Specifications are included as Appendix A and Drawings are Appendix B. The purpose of the Work is to extend the service lives of existing corrugated metal pipelines (CMP) that carry surface water in the South Main Canal underneath roads or creeks that cross the canal. The shells of the CMPs have been severely corroded so rehabilitation is required. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a payment bond and faithful performance bond each in the full amount of the Contract price, and insurance with certificates and endorsements of insurance, as provided in the Contract Documents. The required bonds must be provided only by a surety insurer who is admitted to do business by and in good standing with the California Department of Insurance. Bidders are hereby notified that in accordance with Public Contract Code section 22300, securities may be substituted for any monies that the Agency may withhold pursuant to the terms of this Contract to ensure performance. The successful bidder must possess the following classification or type of contractor's license issued by the Contractors State License Board: Class A, California. To be qualified to bid on this Project, bidders must be registered and qualified to perform public work with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant section 1725.5 of the Labor Code. All subcontractors listed in a qualified bidder's bid as performing any portion of the work also must be registered and qualified with the Department of Industrial Relations. Bids that equal or exceed $1,000,000 must be accompanied by an Iran Contracting Act certification in the form provided in section 1.9. The attention of bidders is directed to the requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and prevailing wage rates to be paid to all workers employed under the Contract in accordance with Labor Code sections 1770 and following. Copies of the prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file at the Agency's office, and will be made available to any interested party on request. In accordance with Labor Code section 1771.4(a)(1), this project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
