Renovation of a residential development in Athens, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
To all interested Engineering and Architecture Firms: The Athens County Commissioners intend to contract for archi- tectural and engineering services in connection with the following projects being funded in full or in part by Community Development Block Grant Program funds. 1. Name of Project: New Leaf (SAOG) - Community Facility Improvements Location: Nelsonville, Athens, And Glouster, Athens County, OH Description: The Athens project will involve the rehabilitation of one building in the City of Athens, 485 Richland Avenue. This mixed use building contains office space on the ground floor which will be acquired to allow for use by New Leaf Program Staff in the administration of the program. In addition, the second floor houses five-apartment units that will be used as housing for program participants living in Athens. Athens Rehab Estimate $982,000.00 The Glouster project 93 High Street will be rehabilitated to allow for use in the administration and business incubation aspect of the New Leaf program for Athens County in the Village of Glouster. In addition, three new triplexes will be constructed on a vacant lot in the Village of Glouster on Cherry and Madison Streets. Glouster Rehab Estimate $1,152,000.00 $1,738,810.00 $2,890,810.00 Total Project Budget All Locations: $3,872,810.00 The Architecture/Engineering scope of work will include project design, preparation of bidding specifications and drawings, review of bids, pre- and post- construction meetings, construction over- sight as required, and obtaining all necessary permits. The grant administrator will prepare the bidding/construction documents as specified in RFQ Packet. Glouster New Build Estiamte Glouster Total Project Budget As required by Ohio Revised Code 153.65-71, firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications based on the evaluation factors listed in the full application. Representatives of Athens County will en- ter into contract negotiations with the most highly qualified firm. Please submit separate proposals for each project that your firm is interested in. Please also state the amount of time that your firm be- lieves would be necessary to have project(s) designed and ready to bid after initial date of Architectural / Engineering contract begins. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
