Renovation of a detention facility in Fairbanks, Alaska. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
As of May 24, 2023, the solicitation is still in the negotiations phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Contractor shall provide professional design services to renovate detention, treatment, and administrative areas. Two additions to the existing building will provide for a vehicle sally port and additional treatment areas. Services are anticipated to include Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Geotechnical Engineering, Survey, Cost Estimating, and Environmental Services. Activities include project scoping, geotechnical exploration, environmental review and documentation, survey, design, assistance during bidding and construction, and other design-related services deemed necessary. A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package. Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is approximately March 2023 to December 2027. Individuals with disabilities, including the hearing impaired, who may need auxiliary aids, services, and/or special modifications to submit a proposal should contact the TTD number: (907) 269-0473, no later than one week prior to the submittal date to make any necessary arrangements. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
