. Work consists of RRFB installation, curbing, concrete sidewalk, drainage structures, reclamation, milling and paving and related work. The City of Easthampton reserves the right to waive any informality in the proposal form and to reject any or all proposals, or to accept the proposal deemed most acceptable to the City, if it is in the public interest to do so. The work involved in this Contract includes, but is not limited to: 1. Pavement milling, leveling, and paving of Holyoke Street from Cottage Street to Allen Street. (Holyoke St Paving, Base Bid) 2. Reclamation of pavement and paving of Truehart Drive (Add Alternate 1) and Wemelco Way (Add Alternate 2). 3. Constructing intersection and pedestrian improvements at the intersection of and pedestrian improvements at the intersections of Holyoke Street and East/West Green Street and Holyoke Street and Allen Street. This work includes unclassified excavation, new construction and reconstruction of sidewalks, construction of cement pedestrian curb ramps, granite curb, pavement markings, new stop signs and street name signs, the installation of a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon systems at each intersection. Installation of new frames, covers, grates, water boxes, adjustment of frames and valve boxes, the restoration of the tree belts with loam and seed adjacent to work, installation and removal of safety controls, and any other work necessary to complete the work on Holyoke Street, Wemelco Way, and Truehart Drive. (All) Prospective bidders are required to submit all questions to the City by 3:00 P.M. on the Thursday before the scheduled bid opening date. Any questions received after this time will not be considered for review by the City. All questions must be in writing and are due by 5:00PM on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. There will be no preconstruction conference for this project. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has established minimum wage rates for this project. A prevailing wage rate schedule will be included in the bidding document. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION, for the project with an estimated value of $1,247,250.75 will be required.
