This proposal is for furnishing signs, sign blanks and sign posts for the Lenawee County Road Commission. All material listed are to be delivered in quantities as required at different intervals throughout the ensuing year(s). All signs, including hole placement, shall comply with those shown in the current edition (including revisions thereto) of the "Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices" (MMUTCD) and Michigan Department of Transportation. All signs shown in the MMUTCD and included in the "Standard Highway Signs" publication generally conform to signs included in the National "Manual on the Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways" published by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration. The supplier shall certify that all signs furnished by him are in compliance with this section of the law, Section 257.610 (C) of the Michigan Vehicle Code. ALL DIAMOND, TRIANGLE AND RECTANGLE BLANKS shall have rounded corners, anodized and fabricated from .080" thick aluminum sheets. All signs will be fabricated using high intensity prismatic or equal reflective sheeting meeting current state and federal standards. SEASON'S REQUIREMENTS FOR U-SHAPED STEEL SIGN POSTS - 7 ft., 11 ft., 12 ft., 13 ft. 14' and 16' lengths, weighing 3 lb. per linear ft. each having 3/8 inch round holes 1 inch C-C entire length 7 ft., 11 ft., 12 ft., 13 ft. 14' shall be painted green or galvanized, 16' lengths shall be galvanized. SIGN BLANKS Extruded aluminum blanks for street name signs covered both sides with green high intensity prismatic or equal reflective sheeting 9" x 24", 9" x 30", 9" x 36" and 9" x 42" all unpunched. The above materials must meet current Michigan Department of Transportation specifications or Lenawee County Road Commission specifications. All prices shall be F.O.B., Adrian, Michigan and shall be firm through December 31, 2023. If not, bidder must indicate how long prices are firm. Bidders must submit with bid a written guarantee that they can furnish any given quantity of signs, sign blanks or posts within 30 days after receiving a purchase order. Costs to include delivery f.o.b. Lenawee County Road Commission. Bidder to specify delivery time, after receipt of a purchase order. This bid may be extended or renewed from year to year by the Road Commission at the same prices if agreeable with the successful bidder (multiple year bid preferred). The right is reserved to accept or reject any or all bids or any part of same, to waive irregularities and/or informalities in bids and to make the award in whole or in part as may appear to be in the best interests of the Lenawee County Road Commission and Lenawee County.
