Prequalification submissions are requested from Slate Roofing Contractors indicating their interest in bidding and qualifications for executing the roofing replacement at St. Marys Town Hall, located in St. Marys, Ontario. Description of Project: - Temporary facilities, including scaffolding access and protection of existing copper roofs, building facades, and entrances used by staff and the general public. - Removal of existing copper flashings, slate roofing, associated underlayment and fall arrest tie offs. - Roofing replacement of main, slate-shingled roof, including gable roof, gable cheek walls, natural copper flashings, hips, ridges and Tower spillway. Include full underlayment in areas of new slate and copper roofing. - Existing vented, copper eyebrow dormers [3 units], to be protected, for reuse. Anticipated project schedule: - Bidding period: January 19, 2023 - February 02, 2023 - Award of contract: March 01, 2023 - Site Mobilization: April 03, 2023 - Construction completed: June 01, 2023 Slate Roofing Contractor Prequalification Submission Requirements: - Submit a completed CCDC11 Contractor's Qualification Statement. Provide phone and fax numbers for references. CCDC11 forms can be obtained from local construction associations. - Submit a letter from Contractor's Bonding Company declaring Contractor can provide 50% Performance Bond and 50% L&M Payment Bond. - Submit letter from Contractor's Insurance Company verifying Commercial General Liability Limits of not less than $4.0M per occurrence. - Submit C.V. of the Site Supervisor to be assigned to this project. Submissions must be received at the Architect's office no later than 2:00 PM January 06, 2023. Faxed submissions will not be accepted. Electronic submissions are acceptable. Submissions that do not contain the specifics above will not be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to contact references other than those listed in CCDC11. Based on responses from references, each application will be ranked in order to determine a shortlist of Bidders for recommendation to the Owner.
