The area in question will only be the concrete deck between the pool itself and the staircases. The staircases and ADA access ramps are not a part of this project and will be left in existing condition. The concrete coping around the pool will be included in this project. The specifications are as follows: o Cut and remove all existing concrete on the lower pool deck as well as the pool coping. o Install 3/8-inch steel rebar reinforcement spaced at 18 inches apart in all directions. o Install new drainage system. o Install new drain covers (9). o Install new back stoke flag anchors. o Install 4-inch thick 3,000 psi concrete for the pool coping and the pool deck. o Install control joints. o Apply a broom finish to the concrete for foot traction. o Install Decoseal rubber protective barrier around the entire pool coping Diagram of the pool deck is on the following page.
