Renovation of an educational facility in Oroville, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The District is soliciting bids under a Design-Bid-Build Low Bid procurement method. This project in general shall consist of 1) demolition and removal of existing trees and (noted) site lighting, construction of new seat walls around tree planters, preparation of said planters to receive new OFCI trees, install pathways/underground pathways for future electrical and procurement and install of (1) new pre-DSA shade structure near Gymnasium Building; 2) demolition and removal of existing concrete, handrails, brick, trees, tree planters, storm drain line and drain inlet where noted on the drawings and construction of new seat walls, ramps with railings, new 6-inch storm drain line, existing handrail modifications and raising existing in-ground items to grade at Math/Physical Science octagon; 3) at Campus Quad pothole as necessary to locate existing water line, USA existing AT&T line location, directional boring required from future power source to each structure and procure and install (3) new pre-DSA shade structures. New 3/4 -inch/2-inch conduit, 2-inch conduit sleeve, N9 underground pull boxes and N3R enclosures installed at the Gym/Women's' Locker Room Area. New 3/4 -inch/2-inch conduit, N9 underground pull boxes and 2-gang bell boxes (with blank) installed at the Campus Quad area, in accordance with the Project design Specifications, Drawings, other related documents and Mandatory Job-Walk and Pre-Bid Meeting. The start date for the project March 16, 2023 and the scheduled completion date is June 16, 2023. Any Bid Proposals received after the due date and time will not be considered and will be returned to the firm. Question Deadline 01/11/2023 at 4:00 PM PT The District will not respond to any bidder inquiries or clarification requests, unless such inquiries or clarification requests are submitted timely to: Kimberly Jones at joneski@butte.edu and at shirahda@butte.edu. New 3/4 -inch/2- inch conduit, N9 underground pull boxes and 2-gang bell boxes (with blank) installed at the Campus Quad area. 2. Project Scope of Work includes utility potholing. Existing utility locations have been derived from plans (as-built) or digital data from the District but have not been checked in the field by the District to confirm the service position. Existing underground utilities are based on an overall campus graphical representation only and may not be at the actual locations or depth shown. Underground lines not shown on the plans may also be present. It is an indication that utilities are possibly in the general location. It is the responsibility of the contractor to verify all existing underground utilities. The District is recognizing $10,000 to cover the Contractor's direct cost for potholing. All Bidders are recommended to include no more than the $10,000 for potholing in their Base Bid Amount. Any potholing work in excess of $10,000 as substantiated by documented cost, will be considered work outside the Contractor's Scope of Work. Contractors shall receive written authorization prior to proceeding with potholing work considered to be outside their Scope of Work. Contractor is to coordinate all utilities work with Facilities Planning and Management staff and utility owners. As-builts required will be issued by the District to the contractor at the time the project is contracted. Contractor's attention is directed to Terms and Conditions of the Contract Section 00 72 00, Article 6.
