Renovation of a residential development in Elton, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
GENERAL-The Owner of this Project is: The Housing Authority of Elton, Louisiana 415 Lafleur St, Elton, Louisiana 70532. The Architect for this Project is: OORourke & Frick Architects, Inc., A Professional Architectural Corporation (OFA), 900 South College Road, Ste. 305. Lafayette, Louisiana 70503. Contractors are invited to submit a bid for the construction of Modernization of Housing 2019, 2020, & 2021 CFP - Reroofing and Soffit Repairs @ Site LA66-2A. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2163 for the Classification of Roofing Contractor. Each bona fide bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38: 2212(A)(1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA R.S. 38:2214 or without the consent of the Housing Authority. The Work for this project is generally described as selective demolition and reinstallation of roofing, trim, flashing, vent caps, soffits, porch soffits, as well as other necessary and required work for proper installation as described in the specifications and construction documents. Bids shall be a Stipulated Sum basis as per the original documents. The Owner requires the Architect to issue Substantial Completion of the Work on or before 60 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Thereafter, liquidated damages will be charged. A Bid Security (a certified check or bank draft made payable to the Housing Authority, U. S. Government Bonds, or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable Sureties) in the amount of 5% of the highest possible bid amount is required. Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submittal. Submit bids on the Bid Form provided. Refer to Document 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders and 00 43 93 Bid Submittal Checklist for additional information. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the specifications under the Davis-Bacon Act must be paid on this project. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. Bidders should be aware that the project is funded by Capital Fund Program of the Department of Housing & Urban Development of the Government of the United States. PRE-BID CONFERENCE- A Pre-Bid conference will be scheduled by addendum.
