Plans call for alterations to the existing buildings including but not limited to ADA improvements, signage, fire protection and structural improvements. Smith Elementary at 8707 Dover Ave., Ramirez Elementary at 702 Avenue T, Wheelock Elementary at 3008 42nd Street and Whiteside Elementary at 7508 Albany Avenue. As of December 27, 2022, trade bids are being received by the CMAR. An architect and construction manager has been selected. Construction is anticipated to begin in March 2023 and be completed in July 2023. The Project consists of the Work on: Smith Elementary School located at 8707 Dover Avenue, Lubbock, Texas Whiteside Elementary School located at 7508 Albany Avenue, Lubbock, Texas Wheelock Elementary School located at 3008 42nd Street, Lubbock, Texas Ramirez Elementary School located at 702 Avenue T, Lubbock, Texas 1. The Work shall include, but is not limited to, alterations and hardening to the existing Smith Elementary School, Whiteside Elementary School, Wheelock Elementary School, and Ramirez Elementary School, as illustrated in the Contract Documents. 2. All permits necessary for the completion of the Work. Permits shall include, but are not limited to, all Federal EPA, State of Texas Commission of Environmental Quality and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan notices and permits plus City of Lubbock permits. 3. If required, the Contractor shall provide a Storm Water Pollution Protection Plan (SWPP). 4. Procure all required and necessary City of Lubbock and State of Texas Certifications needed for the Owner's occupancy of the Project. 5. Provide appropriate "Background Checks" on any and all persons involved in the construction activities in a form acceptable to the Owner.
