Renovation of a municipal facility in Covington, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Tipton County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received. SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Proposers also agree to the following: o Advise and consult with Rickey Norman the availability of materials, and equipment. o Develop and maintain a safety program as well as follow the safety programs of TOSHA and OSHA. Any fines levied by governmental agencies due to unsafe work practices will be the responsibility of the contractor or subcontractor in violation. o Abide by all laws, ordinances and codes and schedule inspections through local or state inspection departments. LICENSING INFORMATION: As required by Tennessee Contractor's Licensing Act and all prior applicable law (General Contractor's Law). Every invited bidder shall be required to be in compliance with an appropriate classification before your bid may be considered. You are further directed to provide your license number, expiration date thereof, all of which must appear on the outside and the bid form; otherwise, your bid will/shall not be considered. INSURANCE CERTIFICATES: The bidder who is selected to enter into a contract for this work shall obtain and pay insurance coverage. Tipton County must be listed as an additional insured in Certificate of Insurance. Failure or neglect by the selected bidder to deliver certificates as specified will be considered as having abandoned the contract. INDEMNITY PROVISION: All bidders are to include provisions in their bid to incorporate the following Indemnity Provision into their scope of work. This Indemnity Provision shall be part of the Contract Agreement between each successful bidder and Owner. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Contractor and its subcontractors shall indemnify and hold harmless Tipton County, their agents, and employees from and against all claims, damages, losses, and expenses. This includes, but not limited to, attorneys' fees arising out of or resulting from the performance of the work provided that any such claim, damage, loss, or expense is attributable to bodily injury, sickness, or death. CLEAN UP: Each Trade Contractor is to include in his bid a laborer devoted to job clean up while the Trade Contractor is performing work, or until cleanup is complete as judged by the Owner's Project Superintendent. Each Trade Contractor is responsible for removing and disposing of debris/ trash. All Contracts more than $25,000.00 require the Contractor to be licensed. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, taxes, required to complete the scope of work associated with this project. Coordinate all activities with Rickey Norman @ ( 901-569-5720 ) Areas to be re-roofed 1. Shingle and built-up roof 2. North covered entrance 3. West covered entrance 4. South covered entrance 5. Bell tower o All areas to be reroofed must be removed to roof decking. o Remove all construction debris from job site o Replace any unsuitable decking ( a unit price will be provided on bid form ) o Area 1. Ice and water shield underlayment and architectural shingles to be used. ( Twenty-five-year shingle warranty minimum ) Color and style to be selected by owner. o Area 2,3,4,and 5 A 1/2 " cover board (minimum) must be used and a 60 mil. fully adhered TPO roofing system in- stalled. o Tapered insulation or crickets maybe required to provide a positive drain to scuppers, roof drains or gutters. o Area 5 Metal coping is required at top of parapet wall. o All metal flashing used must be included in bid price. o The roofing material Manufacturers installation methods must be used. o Labor and material warranties must be provided with bid. o The Court House will remain open during this re-roofing project coordination of activities will be required. o Weather conditions must be monitored, and provisions made to insure a rain tight condition at all times. o An estimated schedule of completion is required. Any questions concerning this bid must be in writing to (rnorman@tiptonco.com) on or before December 22,2022 1:00 pm so an addendum can be issued to all bidders before bid date.
