As of April 17, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Proposals from interested and qualified firms experienced in providing rehabilitation work on (5) retention ponds to bring full functionality and to ensure property is within compliance with the Southwest Florida Water Management. Proposals will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter in the Commission Chambers. All interested parties are invited to attend. Proposers shall submit one original bid form, three complete copies and one digital version on a USB drive or similar. Proposers may submit questions in writing only before 5:00 pm on Monday, January 19th, 2023. The City will not respond to questions submitted after that time. This proposal is to perform rehabilitative work to restore necessary functionality to the two retention ponds. The retention ponds are separated by a small access drive that runs north to south. Both retention ponds are currently severely overgrown with vegetation, have excess sediment accumulation and need drainage pipe replacements to properly convey stormwater runoff. The proposal is to merge the two retention ponds into one by removing the access drive, remove excess vegetation, perform excavation and grading of sediment to allow for proper drainage, trim overhanging vegetation to reduce organic matter accumulation in the retention pond as well to encourage sun light reaching the sod for growth and install new drainage pipes.
