The Base Bid project involves replacement of approximately 1,800 LF of existing 8 gravity sewer line and manholes, reconnection of existing services, and related improvements. Additive Bid Item 1 includes a bored and encased sewer line crossing of Route 58, approximately 100 LF of 8 gravity sewer line and manholes, service reconnections, and related improvements. Additive Bid Item 2 includes a bored and encased sewer line crossing of Route 58, approximately 400 LF of 8 gravity sewer line and manholes, service reconnections, and related improvements. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The procedure for withdrawal of bids shall be according to provision (ii) contained in 11-54, Code of Virginia (1950) as amended. If a contract is for one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) or more, or if the total value of all construction, removal, repair, or improvements undertaken by the bidder within any twelve-month period is seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) or more, the bidder is required under Title 54, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia (1950) as amended, to show evidence of being licensed as a Class A Contractor. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
