The new Welcome Center Food and Beverage Concession in the Welcome Center in Love Park is intended to further activate the park, drawing guests from the surrounding offices and residential buildings as well as visitors. The City desires that the Welcome Center Food and Beverage Concession have a unique theme and a menu, service and setting that is superior to those of nearby restaurants and cafés. The City is interested in receiving proposals that include a combination of sit down and quick-serve service. For example, breakfast and lunch service might include sit down and quick-serve options and dinner service provided by wait staff. The Welcome Center location is ideal for a vibrant after work meeting spot for small plates and beer, wine and cocktails. The City hopes that the Welcome Center will become a regular destination for citizens and tourists. The City's share of the revenue generated by the Welcome Center Food and Beverage Concession will be used to help maintain the landscape and programs at Love Park.
