Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools (EFCTS) hereby gives notice of its intent to issue a contract for professional engineering services. It is EFCTS s intent to complete a heating and cooling systems replacement project in the Auto Technologies Building and Aq/Diesel Lab at Eastland Career Center 4465 Hamilton Rd. Groveport, Ohio 43125. The preliminary estimate is $800,000 dollars. Services for which qualifications will be included in the project are limited to engineering firms. The anticipated project includes renovations to a current facility that may have occupants present during the construction phase. EFCTS is a Career Technical Planning District (formerly known as a Joint Vocational School or JVS), serving 16 districts primarily in Franklin, Fairfield and Pickaway counties, for secondary and postsecondary career-technical education. As such, our facilities include labs that represent the various career fields and academic classroom space, as well as offices. This information is being requested in regard to Ohio Revised Code Section 153.69(A), which requires a public owner to select and rank no fewer than three design firms which it considers to be the most qualified to provide the required professional design services. All qualifications received will be reviewed, evaluated, and ranked to be the most qualified. At the conclusion of the evaluation process EFCTS will then award a contract for professional design services Statements of Qualification Include the following information in the statement of qualifications submitted: 1. Name of Firm 2. Firm History years of experience 3. Education, technical training, and experience of principals and key personnel 4. Firm s experience with substantially similar projects 5. Firm s experience with Career Technical Planning District schools (JVSs) 6. Firm s experience with EFCTS 7. Number and type of school projects undertaken over past 5 years 8. Location of the firm ability to provide on-site representation 9. Procedures for soliciting contractors to get qualified bidders for the project 10. Insurance coverage 11. Ability of firm to complete a project on a short timeline (1-6 months), including availability of staff and consultants 12. Ability to maintain budget and schedule 13. Staffing (in-house or outsourcing) for engineering, mechanical, and roofing 14. References Qualifications submitted will be reviewed, evaluated, and ranked; qualified firms may be contacted for future contracts as projects are identified and requested to provide pricing for services. EFCTS will provide an agreement for the services to be provided.
