A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Job No. 21490 The Mastics Moriches Shirley Com - munity Library hereby invites the submission of sealed Bids for the following work: CONTRACT 04-2 - 050 Masonry Once a completed Bidder registra - tion card is received, each prospec - tive Bidder will receive a Sharefile link to the Bid documents to the email address cited on the Bidde registration card. The printed set or flash drive will be sent via FedEx to the prospective Bidder once the Library receivesthe non-refundable business check, in the amount listed above. Each Bidder will receive a link and pass word to the email address pro -vided on the Bidder Registration Card after the Bid is received. The Contract Number must be clearly marked at the right hand lower cor ner of tlie Bid envelope. Any Bids received later than the prescribed date and hour will be rejected. The Mastics Moriches Shirley Com-munity Library Board of Trustees' reserves the right to reject any or all Bids submitted in the best inter ests of the Owner and to waive any informality in any Bid and shall further make awards in any manner it deems advisable in the best inter ests ofthe Mastics Moriches Shirley Community Library. The successful Bidder shall be required to execute a formal contract with the Mastics Moriches Shirley Community Library. Each Bidder shall agree to hold its Bid price for forty-five (45) days after the formal Bid opening. Provide two new elevator shafts, cultured stone wall veneer, miscellaneous CMU, rigid insulation and other masonry related work. The Overall Scope of Work of this Project Complete renovation of the 45,000 sq ft Main Library building at 407 William Floyd Parkway, Shirley, NY 11967 The Bid Documents include this booklet and the items listed herein together with the project plans and specifications. The Mastics Moriches Shirley Community Library is exempt from sales tax for materials and labor as per NYS Sales Tax codes. The 04-2-050 Base Scope of Work, as well as the Scope of Work of all Alternates, includes, but is not limited to, providing ("provide" or "provision of" means supply and install) ALL materials, labor, equipment, scaffolding, bonds, insurance, general condition, overhead, profit and supervision and anything else necessary to complete the following: - Two new CMU elevator shafts - Provide all required lose lintels - Roof level concrete curb and reinforcing as per Section 25 on S201 - Roof level CMU work as per Sections 23 & 25 on Dwg S201 (4 x 4 x 3/8 HDG angles and epoxied fasteners at the perimeters of the elevator shafts are by others) -Cultured stonework including cultured stone cap and natural stone at grade - Cast stone copings - All flashings in contact with work installed under this contract, excluding what sides on top of the cultured stone cap and behind the siding. - Parging of concrete walls that will remain exposed at the completion of the project, using Comproco Plastermix or approved equal (submit for approval) -Parge all areas scheduled to receive 3/4 " thick Arriscraft Arris - Tile Thin Veneer (typ. as in wall sections 2, 3, 4, & 5 on Dwg A 314 in lieu of the Arriscraft Arris-Tile). Provide Comproco Plaster mix or approved equal (3/4" thick Arriscraft Arris - Tile This Veneer is an alternate priced item - see below) -Solid filled 8" CMU (not shown on plans) (including drilling & epoxy #5 rebar dowels - one dowel per block) on top of existing foundation as per SKM-1 included in this Bid Booklet -Infill misc. existing beam pockets in foundation. (mezzanine floor level in 1993 building) Waterproof exterior side. Quantity of 5. - Infill/parge interior side of old foundation wall penetrations in cellar/basement level. Total of 15 holes 4"-8" in diameter. - Excavate as required to complete the work of this contract, the exterior perimeter foundation wall to 2 ft below final grade, dampproof (Comproco Foundation Coat or equal non bituminous product, submit for approval) the foundation wall, brick shelf or existing brick buildup on brick shelf from a point 24" below final grade to top of foundation wall. This work to be done before 4" solid CMU is placed as described in the following paragraph. - 4" solid CMU (not shown on plans) to build up the foundation wall brick ledge to support the first course of natural stone shown on the plans at grade in those areas shown on SKM- 2 included in this Bid Booklet. Any voids between the backs of these blocks and the foundation to be filled in solid with mortar. - Fill solid with mortar, any voids in the existing bricks on the brick shelf -2" R-10 rigid insulation (Dow Blue Board or approved equal) adhered with adhesive compatible with the insulation (submit for approval) to the foundation wall, new 4" CMU or existing masonry on the brick shelf, to a height of 4" below final grade where shown on SKM-2. Bottom edge of insulation to be approximately 2'4" below final grade - After verifying total seal of the top edge of the insulation against the concrete to masonry, backfill and compact the areas disturbed by the performance of work under this contract - Cast stone date stone per Detail 2 on Dwg A 600.01 - CMU work at stage as per Dwg A432 including epoxy rebar dowels per plan - Soap backer block work typ. As in Sections 2, 3, & 4 on Dwg. A 314
