Site work for a road / highway in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Scope : The scope of the work in this contract shall include all splicing, preparation, and placement of approximately 6,234 enclosures or 48% of the total enclosures in FY23. Network connectivity will require approximately 39,000 single fusion splices and associated QA/QC and testing measures specified in this RFP. Splicing will be performed on both existing aerial fiber cable and fiber inside existing handholds. Splices will be detailed in the construction drawings and on supplemental splicing diagrams. Drop installations from terminals will be performed under a separate contract. KUB shall furnish materials, as described below, required for the work. All work must comply with the construction drawings and specifications. Q & A deadline: Dec 13, 2022 4:00:00 PM EST Notice of Award January 10, 2023 Notice to Proceed on or before February 6, 2023 Required Substantial Completion June 25, 2023 This work is to be bid only by KUB pre-qualified contractors in the following areas: 8.3 Fiber Optic Outside Plant Fusion Splicing and Testing. Bids will not be accepted from contractors who are not pre-qualified in the referenced categories prior to the bid opening.
