The Maryland Department of Transportation, State Highway Administration is soliciting bids for a qualified Contractor to provide electrical maintenance and repair services at the Centreville Maintenance Shop, the Stevensville Satellite Facility and the Kent Narrow Bridge Tender House located in Queen Anne's County, Maryland This is a Small Business Reserve Procurement for which award will be limited to Certified Small Business vendors. Only vendors that meet the statutory requirements set forth in State Finance and Procurement Article Subsections 14-501 - 14-505, Annotated Code of Maryland, and who are registered with the Department of General Services Small Business Reserve Program are eligible for award of a contract. There is no Pre-Bid Conference scheduled for this solicitation. This specification describes the requirements to provide qualified licensed electrical repairs, installation, maintenance, replacement, disposal and remodeling services on an asneeded basis at the locations specified in the Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a period of 36 months or total payments of $50,000, whichever comes first. This proposal will establish hourly rates. Quantities listed are estimated and are only given for the purpose of bid evaluation. They do not indicate the actual amount which will be spent, since such expenditures will depend upon requirements which develop during the contract period. A licensed commercial journeyman electrician shall be required to be on-site at all times either performing or overseeing the work of an electrician's apprentice. The State reserves the right to require the vendor to have an apprentice or secondary individual on all assigned tasks.
