Renovation of a municipal facility in Collierville, Tennessee. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This project is included in the Town of Collierville's fiscal years 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of January 18, 2024, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding is allotted to fiscal year 2026. A detailed scope has not yet been released. This project will consist of replacing the flat roof system covering Town Hall. Approved funding will pay the cost for a licensed engineer to prepare construction drawings and perform construction administration. (The State of Tennessee requires a licensed engineer to prepare and seal with his/her stamp the drawings of roof construction project costing more than $25,000.) The remaining approved funding will be directed toward contracting with a roof contractor to remove the existing layers of roof and insulation materials down to the metal deck and install 2 layers of no less than R-30 insulation material, base roof material sheeting modified granulated cap sheet, new plywood on parapet walls, flash walls with torch applied roof material and shop fabricate needed metal components for a complete project. A 20-year manufacturer's warranty will be supplied following acceptance of the finished product. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
