For Miscellaneous Electrical Engineering Services The Town of Blackstone, Virginia is soliciting a Statement of Qualifications from qualified firms for miscellaneous electrical engineering services on an "as needed" basis for miscellaneous projects associated with the Town's electrical distribution system. Additionally, the firm selected will also assist with Capital Improvement Planning, designing various capital improvement projects and assistance with preparation of materials in support of applications for funding. Projects may be funded, all or in part by local funds and Federal and/or State grant funds. Other miscellaneous services involving the Town's capital improvement planning efforts may be included in contracts resulting from this request. It is the intent of the Town to enter a one-year, nonexclusive, general services agreement with the selected firm, renewable for a total of three years. Information to be included in the Statement of Qualifications shall include: 1. General background and history of the firm; 2. Qualifications and experience related to these types of projects; 3. List of capabilities sufficient to provide timely execution of complete services; 4. Information relative to organization and key personnel to be involved by project type. Selection criteria will include: 1. Experience of firm on similar work; 2. Experience of key personnel assigned to the project; 3. Staff capabilities sufficient to provide timely execution of complete services; 4. Past performance of projects; 5. Capacity of firm to perform the work within time limitations, taking into consideration current and planned workload of firm; 6. Experience on projects funded by Federal and/or State grants which includes project management; Selection of the firm shall be in accordance with the Procurement of Professional Services under the Virginia Public Procurement Act.
