The County of Gilpin is inviting proposals from qualified firms and individuals for the replacement and refinishing of box sash window sets at the historic old courthouse located at 203 Eureka St Central City CO. Gilpin County was established in the state of Colorado 1861 and spans 150 square miles through the North Central Foothills of Colorado with elevations spanning from 7,110 to 13,300 feet above sea level. The historic old courthouse was commissioned in 1899 and built to completion in 1900. It building serves as the county seat and provides for many of the main functions of county government to this day. Gilpin County is seeking to replace and refinish 72 box sash windows at the Gilpin County historic old courthouse located at 203 Eureka St. Central City, CO. Firms with experience in historic restorations, specifically in custom building, restoration, and refinishing of box sash windows, with period specific glazing circa 1900-1920s will be best suited for this project.
