Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Coos Bay, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

This request for quote is made by the Oregon International Port of Coos Bay (the Port). Scope : The Contractor's scope of work includes the mechanical and electrical repairs of the Reedsport Bridge MP 739.63 over the Umpqua River. The scope of work includes all elements necessary to repair the mechanical and electrical equipment specified on the bridge while maintaining operation of the bridge and the railroad. Repairs are anticipated with the bridge primarily in the open to navigation position. Requests to perform repairs with the bridge in the aligned for railroad position shall be coordinated with the Port in advance. Components being repaired or replaced as part of this scope of work include, main drive motor, main drive motor brake, DTMF equipment installation, control modifications, system integration and testing, relocation of junction boxes at each end of the swing span, furnish and install end proximity limit switches, startup services, demonstration that the work functions as designed and other miscellaneous items as shown the plans and/or as directed by the Railroad and their Engineer that may become pertinent to completing the scope. Maintaining the safety of railroad operations and all works that may or may not be explicitly stated here or in other Specifications that are associated and required to perform the work is part of this work. Bridge to remain operational for the railroad except for the outages granted by CBRL. The Port is soliciting Quotes from qualified contractors to perform work that supports a new Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) operating system for the Reedsport Swing Bridge, The Port is purchasing a DTMF system for the Reedsport Swing Bridge. This system will require work to be completed by "Others" to make a fully functional system. This RFQ will fulfill those needs. The Port intends to award one contract for the work not provided by the DTMF provider. This may require the bidder to solicit some portion of the work to outside vendors. The Port is seeking a lump sum bid to perform all of the work as outlined in the bid documents Questions concerning this request for quote should be emailed to Rick Adamek at radamek@portofcoosbay.com in the form of a Request for Information (RFI). Questions received via RFI and any written answers will be issued as addenda posted to the Port's website solicitations page unless they are proprietary in nature. Questions pertaining to the request for quote will not be taken after 5:00 pm Pacific Time Monday, January 23, 2023.
