Statutory bonds by an acceptable surety for performance of the contract and for payment of mechanics and materials suppliers will be required from the successful proposer in the amount equal to 100% of the accepted proposal to the Cameron County Drainage District No. 6.A Bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each proposal. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Cameron County Drainage District No. 6 or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in the lieu of the Bid Bond. The Cameron County Drainage District No. 6 for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of the sealed proposals for the purpose of reviewing, evaluating, and ranking the responses, prior to award of a contract. Cameron County Drainage District No. 6 reserves the right to refuse and reject any/ all proposals and to waive any/all formalities or technicalities, or to accept the proposal considered the best and most advantageous to the District.
