Until the contract is awarded the sole point of contact for this project is Julie Brown (see bid contract information) any and all questions related to this project are to be submitted to Julie Brown in writing preferable through the Ionwave Bid system. (See the cut off period for question submissions) No considerations or revision in the contract price or scope of the project will be considered by the Iowa DOT for any item which could have been revealed by a thorough on-site inspection and examination. Square footage listed below are estimates only. The DOT highly recommends all contractors interested in this project attend the prebid/site visit meeting. Prior to bidding to ensure you have a good understanding of the project, size, and the opportunity to ask questions. There is approximately 2,947 square foot in building. Cleaning is to be done five days a week. Floor plan is provided, see Appendix B located in the Attachments tab of Ionwave. Exterior building photo is provided, see Appendix C located in the Attachments tab of Ionwave. There is no water spigot or janitor's sink. There is a sink in the breakroom. There is not a storage space to keep a wheeled supply cart and mop bucket. There is very limited space, equipment and supplies needed will need to be brought during each cleaning time. Appendix B lists the floor plan in the Attachments tab. A red 'x' is where no cleaning is required. ALL LINES ARE REQUIRED TO BE BID TO BE CONSIDERED AND TIED. Contract Award The Contractor will be awarded a one (1) year contract with an option to renew for (five) additional years in twelve (12) month increments. Contract Award It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Contract start after January 30, 2023.
