The proposed work consists of the demolition and disposal of a 5 Concrete Silos, 1/2 of a frame building and site restoration. Project includes coordination with CSX Railroad. Asbestos abatement will be performed under a separate contract prior to the demolition. Final Completion Date is April 28, 2023. Bids must be submitted on the unbound Bid forms furnished with the bid documents and must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code or a Bid Security furnished in Bond Form, issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each contractor must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of comparable size and complexity. This project is funded by a grant from the Ohio Department of Development Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program. Attention must be given to all the requirements contained in the bid packet, including proposal notes and certification, prevailing wage thresholds, insurance, CSX Railroad coordination, EPA notification requirements and a bond for 100% of the contract price. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Putnam County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Wage and Hour Division as the engineer's estimate is over the $75,000 threshold for building demolition.
