Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a hospitality development in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Working plans call for the demolition of a hospitality development; for site work for a hospitality development; and for asbestos abatement for a hospitality development.
The scope of work shall consist of but not limited to the following: The purpose of the project is to abate the Mold that was caused from previous leaking plumbing in the motel, however to address the Mold issue, it is required to perform General Demolition of the gypsum walls and insulation along the length of the 1st floor for both sides of the plumbing chase walls, and the existing motel room interior wall along such chase walls and in the bathrooms to a height of 4' from the floor, to include removal of the existing plumbing fixtures, such as toilets, lavatories and associated casework, showers and combined tub and shower units, and to protect the existing drain pipe connections and water supply lines. On the 2nd floor specific rooms have been identified as part of the General Demolition and shall be demolished in the same manner (note that the 2nd floor is adjacent to the hallway and not a chase). Secondary Demolition will be required following inspection of the existing wooden structure members to determine the extent of additional gypsum, insulation, plumbing fixture, and other material removal. A 3rd phase of Demolition will be required to remove all of the room furnishings / furniture, to include mattresses, box springs, bed rails, carpet, draperies, chest and/or dressers, microwaves, etc. for all the guest rooms, office areas, laundry areas, assembly areas, and apartment area. Materials left in place in demolition areas must be cleaned to the limits and as directed by the Owner's environmental specialist. All demolished material shall be removed, placed into roll-off containers, hauled away and disposed of properly at the appropriate landfills. At its conclusion, the project must meet an Indoor Air Quality standard, as determined by testing. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, site security, etc. to complete the project scope and timeline. All bidders must be licensed and shall comply with all requirements of the State of Tennessee Contractor's Licensing Act. The City of Chattanooga is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
