Renovation of a religious / funeral development in Somerset, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a religious / funeral development.
The City of Somerset will receive proposals from qualified Design-Build teams for the installation of a sprinkler system at The Virginia Theatre. The Virginia was originally established as a cinema, opening its doors in 1922. It closed its doors for operation nearly 30 years ago in 1994, and came into a state of disrepair. In 2020, The Virginia was acquired by The City of Somerset and plans were put into place to fully renovate the facility. In 2021, The Virginia reopened its doors as a theatre and currently hosts live music events and theatre productions. The City of Somerset would like to further enhance the facility by retrofitting it to add a sprinkler system proposals shall be submitted only on the form as received from Deco Architects. Proposals shall be enclosed in envelopes which clearly indicate a Proposal for Design-Build Team Services. Responding firms will be required to meet qualifications set out in the RFP and which include the following: 1. Experience in Design; 2. Professional Liability Insurance; 3.
