The Town of Dennis is accepting bids for the Safety Improvements at the Great Western Road CCRT Crossing - Dennis. The prospective bidder shall provide all labor and materials necessary to perform the proposed safety improvements at the existing Great Western Road CCRT Crossing in South Dennis, MA. The work shall include the relocation and reconstruction of portions of the existing bituminous concrete bike path on both sides of the crossing, the installation of Rapid Flashing Rectangular Beacons and LED advanced warning signs with bicycle and pedestrian detection systems, installing associated pavement markings and symbols, and performing various other safety improvements, as described in the specifications. All work and traffic management shall be performed in accordance with the design plans and specifications. Bids received after the time and date established herein for the opening of bids, shall not be accepted or considered, regardless of the cause for the delay in the receipt of such bids. Bidders shall be pre-qualified for this project through the Pre-Qualification Office of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), 10 Park Plaza, Boston, Massachusetts. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M. Minimum Wage Rates, as established by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, shall be in effect for this project. The Town of Dennis reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in bidding, and to make the award as may be determined to be in the best interest of the Town.
