The University of Winnipeg (hereinafter referred as 'U of W') is issuing this RFP with the intent of entering into a contract for supply and installation of Cabling in Lockhart Hall. The contract will come into effect on or about January 20th, 2023 in accordance with the terms and conditions hereinafter described, and specifications provided. This RFP and the subsequent submission will be referenced and form part of the contract issued to the successful proponent. The University will enter into an Agreement with the Bidder who submits a Proposal that best serves the interests of the University when evaluated in accordance with the stated evaluation criteria. The communications rooms that currently service Lockhart are 5L27, 0L05A, 3C11A, 4CM13A, and 7L. Two new communication rooms, 2L25 and a new room to be constructed in 7L, will service all floors of Lockhart - all new Cat 6 cabling will terminate in the new communication rooms. New cabinets, to terminate the cabling, will be supplied by the UW. After re-cabling and re-configuring all clients to the new cabling, all old cabling will be removed. The general plan is to re-cable Lockhart into new communication rooms, patch and reconfigure all end-user devices to the new cabling, and remove all old cabling servicing Lockhart.
