Notice Content The Springfield Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Intercom Replacement Front Lobby Renovations project in Springfield, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Architectural Solutions Inc. The Project consists of: Intercom Replacement Front Lobby Renovations at Tri-Towers (17, 18 25 Saab Court), Springfield, MA. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J to minimum Davis-Bacon minimum wage rates. All bids must conform with provisions of Mass. General Law, Chapter 149, Section 44A to 44L inclusive, M.G.L. c.30 39M and to minimum wage rates as required by the Davis/Bacon Acts subject to the provisions of 29 CFR 5.5 as amended by the U.S. Department of Labor. The project is subject to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and the Instructions to Bidders. The Springfield Housing Authority is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work 'General Building Construction' and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Contractor Update Statement (Form CQ 3). General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates) and made payable to the Springfield Housing Authority. Labor and Materials Payment Bond: The successful General Bidder will be required to furnish a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the total Contract Amount. Performance Bond: The successful General Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the total Contract Amount. The cost of each bond shall be included in the bid price. Bonds shall be with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and be acceptable to the Awarding Authority. All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be forwarded to shikha.archsol@gmail.com by 02/02/2023 at 2:00PM EST for general bids.
