Remodeling of a multi-residential development in Bloomington, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a multi-residential development.
For North Tower Remodel The Housing Authority has been replacing obsolete galvanized plumbing and replacing circuit breaker boxes in the southeast quadrant of Wood Hill Towers-North as apartments are vacated. Now that those items have been replaced, the apartments need to be remodeled. For this project, the Housing Authority is requesting bids on a per-unit basis for the following scope of work in the vertical run of "-12 units" (1212, 1112, etc.) in the north tower. Up to seven (7) apartments are available; selected contractors will be issued a task order identifying specific apartments. Furnish all labor, Equipment, and services including Permits required to complete all work for the remodel of existing apartment including carpentry with installation of Owner supplied materials. Scope is for per apartment (with up to 7 apartments available immediately). Repair/Replace drywall from plumbing work and Breaker box replacement, Extend wall to soffit in kitchen opposite from sink wall, Paint ceiling and walls with supplied Sherwin Williams Paint, Remove existing floor covering and replace with supplied vinyl snap together plank flooring, Install new supplied vinyl cove base molding, Install new supplied kitchen cabinets and countertop, Install access panel in wall under bathroom sink for in wall plumbing shut off valves, Dispose of generated waste with broom swept area when finished, Prospective offerors should visit the site to view conditions and rough measurements of the example apartment, Contract may be extended up to two additional years. The Housing Authority of the City of Bloomington invites quotes from properly qualified professional firms to furnish professional services to remodel apartments with supplied material as per attached scope of work. Developments owned and operated by the Housing Authority of the City of Bloomington. All prospective Offerors need to be licensed and insured. The pricing shall reflect all labor and associated cost for removal and replacement per scope of work. The contractor who is awarded the contract shall furnish the following items: Non-Conclusive Affidavit, Proof of Insurance. Other documentation forms required will be included with the Contract Documents. Davis Bacon wage rates will be required for the project. All quotes will be valid for up to one year from the quotes date. The Scope of Work, and Bid form is provided with this Request for Quote. Quotes will be held in confidence and not released in any manner until after contract award. After evaluation of Quotes and revisions, if any, the contract shall be awarded to the responsible firm whose qualifications, price, and other factors considered, are the most advantageous to the Housing Authority.
