The Corporation of the Village of McBride invites tenders for installation of a new lagoon liner and associated works for cell #1 at the community's lagoon treatment system per the tender drawings. The work scope associated with this project is summarized as follows: Mobilization and demobilization Clear and brush 23,075 m2 of Lagoon Cell #1 Prepare 23,075 m2 of lagoon surface as per Coletanche Bituminous Geomembrane (BGM) General Specifications provided in Appendix B (at the end of the Appendix A document). Coordinate liner installation with the liner installation contractor between July 15, 2023 and September 30, 2023. Contractor is responsible for providing liner installer at least 14 days' notice of site readiness for install. Contractor work days and hours to align with the liner installer. Work hours are 7:00 - 19:00, 7 days a week. The liner install Is estimated to take 7 days. The contractor must have a minimum of 6,000 square meters of subgrade prepared for lining per day. Support liner installation. Support includes excavating anchor trenches, deployment of BGM rolls and backfilling anchor as required. A dedicated excavator, or suitable equipment, with fuel and operator for deployment of BGM rolls via suspended spreader bar (provided by liner installer) is required for the duration of the project. Equipment shall be capable of listing 10,000lbs and accepting spreader bar assembly. See manufacturer's specifications for details. Locate adequate BGM roll storage location on site. Unload BGM rolls upon arrival and provide storage materials to properly store rolls per manufacturer's specifications. Liner rolls to arrive between July 1st and July 15th, 2023. Contractor is responsible for this work regardless of if they have begun construction of their works. Excavate approximately 150 m3 of excess granular material from berm top for reuse as driving surface on finished berm. Contractor to excavate and place excess granular material as directed by the onsite engineer during construction. 150 m3 is an estimate for pricing purposes only. Actual quantity paid to be based on quantity of material moved. Quantity to be determined based on surveys of area before and after excavation. Expose and locate lagoon outlet. Remove existing pipe from the bed of the lagoon and cut at daylight in lagoon sideslope. Fill existing low spot in berm. Excavate berm and extend lagoon piping.
