Nemann Company , awarded amount is $864,820.71.** Orchard Street Improvements The Contractor shall do all the work and famish all materials, except as herein otherwise specified, necessary or proper for performing and completing the work of the Contract. The methods, materials and appliances used, therefore, must be such as will produce the quality ofwork specified and ensure safety to the public and property. Access to abutting properties SHALL BE MAINTAINED at all times except for temporary periods as herein stated. In the event the Contractor will be temporarily blocking the access to any property during some period of construction, he must notify all residential or business occupants at least 24 hours before said blockage to allow them time to move any vehicles in or out. Notify the Engineer promptly of any discrepancies in, or omissions from the Contract Documents. The Engineer will issue a clarifying addendum to each person on record as having received a set of Contract Documents. The Owner will not be responsible for oral instruction or information. Questions received less than seven (7) days prior to bid date cannot be answered. Any addenda issued during the bidding period are to be included in the Proposal and shall become a part thereof. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 through 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security, furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio in the full amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount. A 100% satisfactory performance and payment bond shall be required of the successful bidder. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the name of the bidder, his address, and the name of the project for which the bid is submitted. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the same and all persons interested therein. All bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Hamilton County and the Village of St. Bernard as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage & Hour Administration. The Village of St. The Bidder is expected to examine carefully the site of the proposed work, the proposal, plans, specifications, contract forms, general conditions, addenda, before submitting a proposal. The submission of a bid shall be considered evidence that the Bidder has made such examination and is satisfied as to the conditions to be encountered in performing the work and as to the requirements of the plans, specifications, special provisions, general conditions, addenda and contract. Subject to public safety and convenience, prospective Bidders will be permitted to explore the site of the work by boring or test pits, permits by which will be issued by the Engineer. Explorations shall be at the sole risk and expense to the Bidder and under conditions of maintaining and restoring safety. Bernard reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids or to accept or reject any part thereof.
