Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Collierville, Tennessee. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

For Wolf River Pedestrian Bridge The intent of the Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSOQ) is to obtain proposals from and the services of qualified engineering firms to produce detailed designs, construction drawings, specifications, construction cost estimates, construction engineering inspection and to navigate the necessary environmental permitting process for design and construction of a pedestrian bridge over Wolf River. The general location for the bridge is at the end of the existing boardwalk in W.C. Johnson Park, Collierville, Tennessee. Letter Of Intent To Propose Deadline: January 25, 2023 Deadline for Written Questions: 5:00:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2023 In May of 2022, the Town of Collierville received State of Tennessee funding through a Governor's Award in the amount of $3 million for design and construction of a pedestrian bridge spanning the Wolf River, providing the Town's existing greenbelt system direct connection to 3.5 miles of primitive trails on the north side of the river. The Town desires a signature/iconic landmark bridge. The main bridge clear span across the Wolf River is expected to be roughly 270' long. The project will also include an undetermined length of at-grade and/or elevated ramp approach trail and trail realignment on both sides of the main span. ADA compliance is essential. The Town desires a cable supported truss which provides a 12' clear walkway width. The cable-stayed structure shall be visually appealing and shall fit well within the natural environment of the Wolf River. The bridge structure and its foundations are to be designed from steel and concrete and shall include low-maintenance materials including but not limited to weathering steel, fiber reinforced deck grating, galvanized/stainless steel hardware, precast concrete, and high-performance cast-in-place concrete. Use of wood materials as a primary design component is discouraged. Designs shall not utilize any permanent supporting structure within the main river channel. The successful Firm shall demonstrate to the Town that their design is constructible given the limited access to the site(s) and account for environmental and hydraulic limitations. Additionally, the selected Firm must demonstrate past experience in the design and construction of cable-stayed pedestrian bridges and their foundations under similar site conditions and for similar projects. The selected Firm will integrate aesthetic features into the design that fit within the project's budget. Items anticipated in the scope of this project include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following: project planning/scoping, consensus building for aesthetics, public engagement, survey, geotechnical, hydraulics & hydrology, environmental compliance, and detailed design. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time
