The Board of Education for Springfield School District #186 will receive sealed bids from prequalified general contractors at its Administrative Service Center, 530 West Reynolds Street, Springfield, Illinois, 62702 for: Springfield School District #186 HVAC Upgrades Springfield, Illinois Douglas Alternate Programs Enos Elementary School Early Learning Center Bid No. 23-03 Project Scopes as follows: Douglas School: Work includes replacing of two existing boilers with new boilers, replace existing energy recovery flat plate unit with a new energy recovery wheel unit along with replacing the DX coil and condenser and adding hot water reheat coil in the ventilation system, replacing two in line supply fans and new MERV 13 filters in equipment and racks, temperature control modifications to provide enhanced ventilation air flow. Electrical disconnects and new electrical connections. Rebalancing of air and water systems. ELC School: Work includes replacing existing R22 DX coils in two air handling units and three roof top units and associated condenser units with new R410A coils and condensers, cleaning of HVAC ductwork and associated electrical disconnects and reconnections. Rebalancing of associated supply and return ductwork and air devices. Enos School: Work includes replacing three roof tops units with new units to provide enhanced ventilation rates. Cleaning of HVAC ductwork and rebalancing of associated supply and return ductwork and air devices. Bids shall include: 1. Properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate. 2. Bid Deposit in the amount of 10% of Bid. 3. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec. 39s-1 et. seq. All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois Department of Labor, telephone (217) 782-6206. All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is located in the Proposal Form, Section 00300, of this Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of Bid, made payable to the Springfield School District #186. Failure of Bidders to submit bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the bid shall be cause for rejection of bid. Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Board of Education for Springfield School District #186 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids without written consent of the Owner.
