Food Service Equipment - Southwest Construction Services of Lakeside, CA in the amount of $212,472.00. Concrete & Paving - HSCC, Inc. of Lakeside, CA in the amount of $4,644,570.72. Mechanical - Ran Enterprises Inc. of Huntington Beach, CA in the amount of $1,494,000.00. A. General: The work is comprised of the general modernization of San Luis Rey Elementary School for the Oceanside Unified School District, as indicated on the contract documents prepared by PJHM Architects, Inc. B. Contract Documents: Indicates the work of the contract and related requirements and conditions that have an impact on the project. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to that shown on the drawings and specified herein. 1. Work to be performed throughout the site within or about the property line of the project. 2. Alternates. 3. Requirements for partial occupancy prior to substantial completion of the contract work. San Luis Rey Elementary/aka Pablo Tac Elementary School Campus Modernization (2023-21-061B Concrete & Paving), (2023-21-062B Mechanical), (2023-21-059B Casework), and (2023-21- 060B Food Service Equipment) Prequalification Required: for Only: (2023-21-061b Concrete & Paving) and (2023- 21-062b Mechanical) The District's Project Bidders List will be compiled exclusively from the sign-in sheet at the Mandatory Job Walk. Any Bidder failing to sign-in at the Mandatory Job Walk will be excluded from Project Bidders List and their Bid Proposal will be rejected by the District as being non-responsive. Only those individuals and/or entities on the Plan Holders list will receive e-mails from the District advising of any and all Project Addenda or, alternatively, may purchase the Project Addenda from IB Reprographics In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code 3300, the District requires that Bidders possess, at the time of submission of a Bid Proposal, at the time of award of a Contract for a Bid Package and at all time during the Work, the classification(s) of California Contractors License for each Bid Package as set forth below. Any Bidder not so duly and properly licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law. No payment shall be made for work, labor, materials or services provided under a Contract for the Work unless and until the Registrar of Contractors verifies to the District that each Bidder awarded a Contract is properly and duly licensed to perform the Work. Bid Package No. Bid Package Description Required Classification of California Contractor's License 2023-21-061B 01 Concrete & Paving License B and/or C-8, C-12 2023-21-062B 07 Mechanical C-20 2023-21-059B 11 Casework License B and/or C-6 2023-21-060B 13 Food Service Equipment License B and/or C-38, D-34, and C-43 Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount equal to TEN PERCENT (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of any additive Alternate Bid Item(s). Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be non-responsive and rejected by the District. Prior to commencement of the Work, the Bidder awarded the Contract shall deliver to the District a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond issued by a California Admitted Surety in the form and content included in the Contract Documents each of which shall be in a penal sum equal to One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Bid Proposals shall not be withdrawn by any Bidder for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening of Bid Proposals. During this time, all Bidders shall guarantee prices quoted in their respective Bid Proposals Bidders may submit pre-bid inquiries or clarification requests. Bidders are solely and exclusively responsible for submitting such inquiries or clarification requests not less than Nine (9) Business days prior to the scheduled closing date for the receipt of Bid Proposals.
