THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO invites pre-qualified General Contractors to bid on the project/projects referenced below. Bids must be submitted on the forms issued as part of the Bidding Documents. Bidding Contractors are required to be pre-qualified with the Chicago Public Schools for this project. The form of agreement for the work will be the General Contracting Services Agreement. This contract is subject to all of the terms and conditions of the General Contracting Services Agreement between the Board and General Contractor dated as of January 1, 2017. Beginning Tuesday, April 7, 2020, and for the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation, CPS will ONLY be utilizing electronic bids for construction projects. Submissions will be through Bonfire only. As of June 5, 2020, Illinois School Code has been signed into Law to allow for accepting of electronic bidding. Effective immediately, vendors will no longer need to mail in, or drop off, their paper submissions with original signatures and seals. We thank you for your flexibility in this matter.
