Termite Repairs 440-B Dr. Gilbert Mason Drive, Biloxi, MS 39530 The Biloxi Housing Authority is hereby soliciting bids for Termite Repairs - 440-B Dr. Gilbert Mason Drive, Biloxi, MS 39530. Project scope includes various interior and exterior repairs. to provide a project overview and allow Bidders to ask questions pertaining to the work. This will be the only time the site will be available for inspection, measurement, and investigation. The following must appear on the outside of the sealed Bid Envelope or Package: "SEALED BID FOR TERMITE REPAIRS - 440-B DR. GILBERT MASON DR." o faxed or emailed bids or amendments to bids will be accepted. No bid received after the deadline time and date will be considered except in accordance with law. SCOPE OF WORK: Contract time is 90 calendar days from notice to proceed. $75.00 a day liquidated damage. Unforeseen issues and areas that have damages that were not visible during the bid process will be handled through a negotiated change order. Contractor receiving the award will be required to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming the Biloxi Housing Authority as additionally insured with General Liability, Auto Insurance and Workers Compensation of $1,000,000 for each prior to receiving the Notice to Proceed. Remove interior drywall and insulation until there is no sign of termite damage. Remove all the termite, rotted and damaged wood. Continue the removal past the end of termite trails to verify all termites have been removed. Remove all exterior sheathing and old lap board siding. Replace any sills or top plates that are rotted or termite damaged. After framing, treat all exposed wood with Bora Care. BHA must be present for this treatment to verify product and coverage. Retreat any new wood again with bora care. Reuse existing siding materials. Contractor to supply any additional materials that may be required. The work will require a current Certificate of Responsibility (License Number) from the Mississippi State Board of contractors if over $50,000.00. All Electrical and Plumbing that needs to be moved and replaced due to the Termite damages is included in your bid. You will be required to re-insulate the walls and ceilings. You will be required to install fire wall in the attic between units. You will be required to install drywall, finish, prime and paint the drywall. Paint and primer materials will be provided. You are also responsible for installation of doors and trim. Cabinets to be reinstalled by contractor. Cabinets are stored at the BHA warehouse. The Contractor responsible for Laminate countertops purchase and, install after sample approved by BHA. This work will require a permit and you will be responsible for city inspections and any code required update needed. You must secure the unit and clean up the debris around the building daily
