The work is generally described as follows: Base Bid A - 250 Calendar Days Construct 8-Bay T-Hangar with foundation along with construction of asphalt apron. Base Bid B - 250 Calendar Days Construct 10-Bay T-Hangar with foundation along with construction of asphalt apron. Additive Alternate 1 0 Additional Calendar Days Install restroom finishings, advanced treatment system, and water hook up. Additive Alternate 2 0 Additional Calendar Days Construct 510 x 540 foundation for future development. Liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 will be assessed for each consecutive calendar day after the contract time associated with selected Base Bid and Additive Alternate (if awarded) has expired. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show a current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors establishing classification as to the value and type of construction work on which he is authorized to bid. Bids must be submitted on the standard form of bid proposal and must include a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Bid. The successful bidder will be required to execute the standard form of Contract and Agreement, together with a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond, within 10 days after formal award of the contract. The bidder shall guarantee to hold his bid good and may not withdraw his bid for a period of 60 calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The award, if made, will be made to the party submitting the bid deemed most favorable to the McComb Pike County Airport Board at the time the conditions are stipulated.
